Day Bonanza at Northern
The wild and wooly Labor
Day Bonanza at the Northern Lounge rounded out an already dart-filled
holiday weekend.
One would think that by Monday everyone would be tired of playing, but
the bar was packed with dart players from all over the Valley. Yet even
as packed as it was, there was plenty of room plus lots of food and ice-cold
beer.
Larry ran the tournament and with help, did the payouts. In addition to
the 250% Payback tournament, there was a 300% Added Second Chance Tournament
for the first 16 players eliminated. This day was all about fun, and fun
only. It was good to go to a tournament without a lot of controversy.
Excellent darts.
Jimmy Damore and Junior Champ, Mike Scarborough, played awesome and finished
third, pocketing $120. Rick Kerska and Amanda finished second for $200
and Scooter and Master Bates lost only one game the whole day on their
way to the title and $320.
Larry did a great job as host and got lots of pointers how to run a tournament.
Seems the more people drink the more knowledgeable they get! Nevertheless,
it was a great time and everyone is looking forward to the next one. Thanks,

Evidently, the 300% Added tournament was such a hit that Larry decided
to begin offering a 300% Payback dart tournament once a month. So, beginning
October 8th, plan on being at the Northern Lounge every second Saturday
for some 501 and Cricket. Sign up closes at 1:30pm and the shoot begins
at 2pm. Be sure to go check it out.
The Northern also has an in-house dart league on Wednesdays and pool tournaments
every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. There’s karaoke every
Thursday-Saturday at 9pm and you can watch NFL football on Sundays with
the NFL Ticket. Larry pretty much has something for everyone!
